Nursing/Wharton Impact Scholars Loan Program Supported by J & J

If you are a Penn Nursing Health Care Management (NHCM) student you can apply for this funding at any time during the five years you are in the NHCM Program. You can choose to apply for $20,000 for a one year work commitment or $40,000 for a two year work commitment after you graduate. Students who receive the award will be expected to find employment working at/with the Medically Underserved Area/Population of their choice (MUA/P).

The George H & Estelle M Sands Scholarship Fund Loan Forgiveness Program

A joint effort between the School of Nursing and the Sands family, this program grants a student $32,500 that is split between their last two years in the BSN program. It’s an effort to increase the number of highly qualified nurses in the workforce and requires a two-year work commitment at the Princeton Medical Center after graduation.

The Melissa Sengbusch Inspirational Scholarship Fund

This award gives students $10,000 over the course of four years if they maintain a 3.0 GPA.

The Scholars Educational Loan Forgiveness (SELF) Program Scholarship

This scholarship awards students $2,000 per year for all four years of study. Students in the program must maintain a 2.75 GPA during their studies and must agree to a one-year work commitment in a hospital, home, or healthcare agency in the US after graduation.

Independence Blue Cross Nurses for Tomorrow Scholarship

These awards range from $500 to $2500, and are based on where a student lives. Students who qualify need to provide proof of residency—like an RN license, driver’s license, car registration, or voter registration—in one of the following areas: Philadelphia, Bucks, Delaware, Chester, or Montgomery Counties in Pennsylvania; New Castle County in Delaware; Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, Salem, and Mercer Counties in New Jersey.
